The Ongoing Search for New Books

​There is a place here in Madison that, if you are a reader, you need to know about.  It's a dangerous place, of sorts.  Specifically, a danger (possibly) to your budget, although overall it is incredibly budget-friendly.  I am talking about The Book Deal, one of Madison's newest used bookstores.  It is located at 319 W. Beltline Hwy #111, on Madison's south side. If you are looking for affordable used books, this is the place. Their selection is phenomenal.  I never leave their empty-handed.  Of course, I am severely lacking in self-control when it comes to books, among other things.

I might also mention they have a loyalty program, each book you buy goes toward getting free books.

This was my haul from this morning. Honestly, I went there for the Mark Manson book. I'm not kidding.  The books, they call to me to take them home. And I listen, oh I listen to every murmur. I usually walk out with more than a few books.  Some day, I will have the shelves I need to store them.

As an added bonus, you will also meet Lyra, the dog in resident.  A warning, though:  She will think your sole purpose is to come see her.
